Running Multi-Day Events

Support for mult-day events

We've made an update so events can now run up to 7 days! This is available to users on our unlimited monthly plans. It works with song request and Momento events.

When you create an event, you'll see a start and end date. Remember, the end date should always be the morning after the event since it will end at 5am on the end date.

If you are not on a monthly plan, contact support and we can help you transfer over to take advantage of this new feature!

FAQs

1. Can you give an example scenario?

Let's say you have a high school dance on a Friday and want to start accepting song requests on that Tuesday. You would select Tuesday as the Start Date and then select Saturday as the end date. The event will run from Tuesday at 6am to Saturday at 5am. If you have another event Saturday, that is not an issue as that would start at 6am Saturday.

2. Can I use a multiple day event on the Pro Plan or with Pay as You Go?

No. These plans offer events at a low cost and cover a 24hr period. If you want to run events for multiple days, you will need a monthly plan as that allow for unlimited events per month. Email us to learn how to change plans.  

3. Why is a multiple day event helpful?  

  • Start accepting requests a few days early
  • Cover a multi day event or festival
  • Allow guests to send in photos all wedding weekend to a Momento event

4. Can I end an event early?

Yes, if an event ends early you can also click "End Event" which will send out the thank you message and stop accepting requests.

5. What if I have multiple events happening?

When creating longer events you will need to ensure it doesn't overlap with other events. If you have an event on a Friday and Saturday, you cannot start the Saturday event early as it would interfere with the Friday event.

*For Momento events (Photo Wall), we recommend using the guest invite link which can be accessed anytime before the event start date and allows guests to join an event ahead of time. On event day, they simply receive a welcome text instead of scanning a QR code!

6. Occasionally, I email support asking to start an event early. Now what?

Now that we properly support multi-day events we will no longer start events early on a one-off basis. This process is much easier as you can now select the exact start and end dates on your own. This was a highly requested featured.
